History

Don Fausto, our visionary inventor

Don Fausto Celorio Mendoza, as a good Mexican and lover of the customs and habits of this country, in 1947, after years of study, work and dedication, managed to develop one of his greatest inventions, the tortilla machine that would industrially produce the icon of our food culture, the corn tortilla.

In 1959, this restless businessman launched the Celorio machine on the market with the innovative extrusion system, flat chassis and piped gas conduction. Years later he implemented improvements to the machine by transforming the chassis into the gas conductor itself and manufactured the first duplex tortilla maker that produced up to 130 kilograms of tortillas per hour.
